For the longest time I tried to figure out how to use the KDE Plasma Desktop when I RDP’ed into my OpenSUSE server, and everything I found led to a dead end… until I looked at the /etc/xrdp/startwm.sh file. I changed session from “gnome” to “plasma”, rebooted the server, and then I was able to get the KDE Plasma Desktop Environment when I RDP’ed into the server.
